Welcome to the world of Donors Without Borders (DWB)
In recent years the lines between philanthropy and commerce have been blurring, creating a new generation of “philanthropreneurs”. DWB has expanded this concept by creating a fundraising-free community where businesses can access the donative market by selling their products to Australians wishing to donate them to Australian charities.
Donations made primarily of goods, rather than money, promotes direct philanthropy, which is accountable in the end users' hands and cannot be misspent. To make donating affordable, DWB vendor members offer low prices with long term payments at near zero interest so donors can use the time value of their accrual-based tax deduction to help pay off their purchase at a later date.
Charities, vendors, donors, and the accredited representatives introducing the parties all have something to gain by coming together in the DWB community.
